The Autonomy, Controls, and Robotics Engineering (ACRE) Lab at NC State University.
The Autonomy, Controls, and Robotics Engineering (ACRE) Lab is a research lab in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at NC State University. We use tools from control theory to build trustworthy autonomous systems. Our vision is to design algorithms for autonomous systems with goal of ensuring that such systems are:
Safe. Formally ensure that autonomous systems operate within strict user-defined limits, backed by rigorous mathematical guarantees.
Reliable. Behave as expected even in the presence of disturbances, model errors, and other sources of uncertainty.
Performant. Autonomous systems that are not just safe but that are also highly dynamic and efficient, capable of completing complex tasks.
